Military training teaches you how to fight. How to survive. How to endure. It pushes your body past limits and your mind through walls most people never even touch.
But there’s a strength deeper than muscle, sharper than tactics, and more enduring than armor.
That strength comes from God.
As a Marine, I learned how to move with purpose, how to follow orders, and how to stand in the face of chaos. But it wasn’t until I surrendered my life to Christ that I learned how to stand when the enemy wasn’t flesh and blood, but fear, doubt, pride, or temptation.
Military strength builds warriors. God’s strength builds soldiers of purpose.
“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
—Ephesians 6:10
God doesn’t just train your hands for battle, He trains your heart for obedience.
He doesn’t just call you to stand tall, He calls you to kneel first.
True strength isn’t found in how many push-ups you can do or how far you can run.
It’s found in the man who:
Resists temptation when no one’s watching
Forgives his enemy when he has the power not to
Leads his family with truth, not just authority
Submits to God even when the mission doesn’t make sense
God’s strength turns warriors into witnesses.
You can wear the uniform, earn the rank, and still be broken inside.
But when Christ fills your heart, He transforms your strength from something temporary to something eternal.
I’ve seen men stronger than steel fall under the weight of shame. I’ve also seen humble, quiet servants carry the weight of leadership with holy fire.
Because God doesn’t just build soldiers, He builds sons.
So stand strong, but not just in your own strength.
Stand in the strength that comes from the cross.
Train like a Marine. Walk like a warrior. Live like a man of God.
